Sometimes, even when a place is filled with concrete. When it’s smogged, and seemingly broken. Through climbing and exploration… There can be a lucid beauty found in the skyline. Thousands of lives moving together in a coherent bash of existence that would be hard to explain anywhere else.
rain appreciation post
Nothing on this earth will ever compare to rainfall. Nothing will ever match up to the droplets sprinkling against your cheek, or the water soaking your clothes. Nothing will ever be like the droplets plopping against the street, or tapping against the metal and glass of the constructed world.
Rain is the one of the most magnificent facets of this world for me, and nothing will ever compare to it.
This evening was the last of four times this summer when the sunset perfectly aligns with the grid of Manhattan. The view was incredible, of course, but what really struck me is the effect it had on the city. People flood the streets, traffic slows, and everyone takes it in. An entire city pauses for a moment to stop and simply marvel. It was beautiful.
Genau so schaut man, wenn man etwas sieht oder hört, das einem das Herz bricht.
